Details: Product Description Ori. Release 2000, their second album features their latest single, 'Bang Bang Boom'. Amazon.ca Vancouver siblings the Moffatts are a boy band without the slick dance moves and headset microphones. The quartet of triplets and one older brother began as a Nashville country sing-along group before pushing into soft pop and eventually power rock. 2000's Submodalities was produced by Metallica/Aerosmith/Cult engineer Bob Rock, and as the 12-dollar title, tinted sunglasses, and questionable facial hair on the cover photo suggest, this is another step away from prefab pop. The themes of puppy love and good times are familiar, but to their credit the Moffatts manage to plug them into different contexts here, whether it's the bubble-gum bop of "Bang Bang Boom" or the power balladry of "Who Do You Love." Sure, it's disposable, but at least they're playing their own instruments. --Matt Galloway
