But beneath his mask and hat, Kanta is just a sawed-off adolescent with a breast fixation: he gropes and ogles every female unlucky enough to cross his arid path. The desert setting and hero who vacillates between deadly skill and randy silliness suggest the filmmakers were trying to create another Trigun, but Desert Punk feels more like Burn Up Excess. Its endless jiggle shots and crude comments will delight adolescent males and infuriate feminists. The Limited Edition includes a series box and a pre-frayed baseball cap.
