To create “ Engaged Jazz ”, a 21-track album produced by Emmanuel Ethier , Chocolat set itself the challenge of going to record in five different studios accompanied by as many co-producers. With this album, Chocolat presents us with its own (rock) version of a mixtape, in particular by drawing on an incalculable number of musical references ranging from Dave Brubeck to Pierre Harel, from Serge Fiori to their friends from Corridor, via Black Sabbath , Alice Cooper and Pat Benatar, without ever deviating from the sound signature that has characterized them since “ Tss Tss ” and “ Meet Looloo ”.
