The Dogs / Music-Hall 2001 - 2CD

Details: Amazon.ca The group Les Chiens is undoubtedly one of the best kept secrets of Quebec rock, even though it won a Félix award in 2000 for its previous opus, La Nuit dérobée. Traveling between sophisticated rock, hovering atmospheres and sensitive texts, the trio led by Éric Goulet gave themselves, in Music Hall 2001, a double challenge. "Côté cour", the group resumes the best moments of its 2001 tour. We will appreciate the haunting voice of Goulet and his expressive guitar, the nervous drums of Olivier Renaldin and the precise bass of Nicolas Jouannaut, with, as a bonus, the live atmosphere that suits this group so well at creating atmospheres. "Côté jardin", Les Chiens seem to have wanted to repair an injustice, the commercial failure of their first eponymous album, by dressing, among other things, "e-mail de paname@", "Fido", "Bain d'étoiles" and "Disparue in Paris" new arrangements. A happy initiative that should allow those who had missed the boat to appreciate the melancholic depth of this intense group. --Pascale Millot Product Description Dogs, The
