Details: Amazon.ca Produced by the famous film music composer Krishna Levy, who has many soundtracks to his credit, from Cours Toujours to Ali Zaoua, Eight Women is the soundtrack to the film of the same name directed by François Ozon, and which will enter our dark rooms in the coming days. And it's a risky bet that the composer took on himself since it was a question here of bringing in, singing, murmuring, laughing and crying the actresses of the film. Risky bet, therefore, but successful all the same, since we find behind the microphone on these 21 titles which dot the film, no less than Isabelle Huppert, Emmanuelle Béart, Catherine Deneuve, who is not her first experience in song, but also Fanny Ardant, Danielle Darrieux or Virginie Ledoyen. Borrowing at times a few well-known themes from the French variety or evaporating into as many original compositions the rest of the time, Huit Femmes is a clever disc animated by piquant texts and which, as such, could only be interpreted by women. Joyfully hectic like "Dad, you're more into it", or more profound and melancholic like "Personal Message", Eight Women is a superb record that gently reveals the moods of the fairer sex. --Toma Product Description Features Vocals Performances by Catherine Deneuve, Fanny Ardant, Virginie Ledoyen, Isabelle Huppert and Emmanuelle Beart.
