Claude Cormier / Photo Album - CD
SKU: CDCC-32
BIOGRAPHY
Claude Cormier grew up by the sea, in that corner of Acadia known as the Magdalen Islands. A fisherman by trade, he is fascinated by music. As a singer-songwriter, he writes about everyday events and sings them beautifully. He was nominated for his album titled Acoustique at the 2011 Canadian Folk Music Awards, in the French-speaking songwriter category. Every photograph carries different stories, depending on who is holding it in their hands. Nowadays, they tend to disappear, taking a piece of our history with them. Here are songs inspired by anecdotes, family stories, traditions, historical facts, and romance, with a folk flavor, tinted with the warm and dynamic colors of the Acadians, and the poetry that characterizes the island spirit of the Madelinots.
SONGS
Les souvenirs usées
Comme avant
On va profiter de l'été
Au café
Les années passent
Le soleil se lève à l'est
Quand j'ai peur
Ti Guy Lavergne
Laisser nous parler
Tes beaux draps
