Sounding closer to Aretha Franklin than Kathleen Hanna, Kekaula's soulful pipes often seemed at odds with the three-chord punk fury of the BellRays, but the aptly named Have A Little Faith offers salvation for this long-running LA-area quartet. The band doesn't abandon punk rock so much as balance the old roar with new sounds like the horn-driven soul of \"Third Time's The Charm,\" the bluesy synthesizer of the title cut, and the moody Middle Eastern rhythms of \"Lost Disciples .\" Those yearning for the more in-your-face side of the band will get an earful from the terse \"Shotgun\" and several others.
