Johns recorded\n Goat's Head Soup by the Rolling Stones, a record despised by punks but Verlaine loves its sickly ballads. And, in fact, Television is not really into punk: the intro of \"Marquee Moon\" is very far from the Ramones or Johnny Thunders. It feels more like a stiff approximation of Thelonious Monk's clusters, then the track unfolds slowly, multiplying guitar solos from Verlaine and Richard Lloyd in Quicksilver Messenger Service fashion.
