While DJ Count Basic serves up a total of seven tracks from studio wunderkinds Kruder \u0026amp; Dorfmeister, stretching out to almost 40 minutes of pleasant remixology, there's little here that hasn't crept up on another compilation by Basic or K\u0026amp;D. On top of that, the Count isn't working with a whole lot of source material. Two of the four original acid-jazz tracks represented here make multiple appearances. \"Hide \u0026amp; Seek\" creeps up twice, once as a slight but successful mix that strips down the lush R\u0026amp;B production in favor of a slow and funky horn-and-piano loop, and again as a tougher, almost hip-hop take. \"Speechless\" shows up a whopping three times, once with an emphasis on the original's Twin Peaks-y murk, once with a junglistic injection, and finally (and most successfully) with a watery vocal mix.
