Arthur H is more inspired than ever on this fourth studio album, surrounded by longtime friends (Brad Scott on double bass, Nicolas Repac on guitar) and new accomplices from the Orchester de la lune (brass and percussion). The voice is still broken, but seems soothed. The accompaniments, alternately hushed or joyfully intoxicating, flow from source to serve an astonishing, absurd and penetrating poetry. \nWhere does this apparent maturity come from? Perhaps he finally found in “Madame X” the “ideal woman” hoped for since Trouble-Fête, his previous album.
