Recordings from those shows comprise All the World's a Stage, the first and most frenetic of the long-lived Canadian rock trio's official live albums. Geddy Lee (bass and vocals), Alex Lifeson (guitar) and Neil Peart (drums) were at a crossroads at the time, and this disc captures them as they move away from the bar-room rock & roll workouts of Rush's early albums (such as Fly by Night, Working Man) and toward more progressive-minded epics like the then brand-new 2112. Despite these signs of more cerebral things to come, All the World's a Stage is still one of the band's most militantly hard-rocking albums, and each player already displays much of the phenomenal instrumental prowess that musicians and fans would scrutinize for decades to come. The flares, however, would soon be a distant memory. --Jason Anderson

UPC: 066825100523

EAN: 0066825100523

Binding: audioCD

Item Condition: UsedVeryGood
