The songs accompanying this tale are fast and furious. Foxx's own "Bed Springs" won't have him leaving his day job anytime soon. But the unpredictable combustion of Beanie Sigel with Ram Squad; former Geto Boy Scarface (featuring Dangerous); Cuban Link and Fat Joe; and current superstar Nelly (featuring the St. Lunatics) form a serious hard-core attack. Even when the beats slow, the anger rides hard. Softening things a bit in relief is R&B popster Mya, perhaps best known for inspiring a Tommy Hilfiger lipstick shade, with the Jimmy Jam- and Terry Lewis-produced, seductive come-on "Free."
