Despite having less of a rhythmic thrust and a greater emphasis on traditional song structure than his previous work, Colorful You should continue Migs's ascendancy to the coveted realm of such chill music superstars as Thievery Corporation and Everything but the Girl. Not that the record doesn't move; tracks like "Think It Over" and "Days of Color" (both with frequent Migs collaborator vocalist Lisa Shaw) are the sort of juiced-up head-nodders that get a scantily clad crowd good and steamy.
