Details: In a worker's neighborhood of Montreal , tons of truffles - the gastronomic mushroom - have mysteriously appeared underneath hundreds of poor, asphalt-covered backyards in the area. For years now, the people of the neighborhood have been exploiting these truffle mines and now, all around the world, truffles are worth pennies: there are just too many of them. Even with their gigantic truffle mine lying underneath their snack bar, Alice (Céline Bonnier, Mommy is at the Hairdresser’s) and Charles (Roy Dupuis, Shake Hands with the Devil) are struggling to make ends meet. Desperate for cash, Charles finds a part-time job to help pay the rent, but it turns out this new job is not exactly what it seems to be. In fact, since his new job, Alice wonders if Charles is perhaps not exactly the man he seems to be... Truffles (Truffe) is a surreal comedy about a society obsessed with consuming, and a reflection on the strangeness of our conformist lives. ----- En 2010, à Montréal, la production de truffes noires bat son plein. Ces champignons très rares font la fierté du secteur. Une propriétaire d'un resto et son conjoint cherchent à exploiter cette ressource.
