His production work for the Long Winters, Nada Surf, the Thermals, Tegan and Sara, Hot Hot Heat, the Decemberists, and his own band has always sat smack dab between the relaxed, poppy vibe of Chris Stamey and the warm yet unadorned approach of Joe Boyd.
