Details: From the Studio Identical twin brothers Lou and Eric find themselves to be celebrities and champions of their local high school rowing team. They are physically identical and therefore perfectly balanced for the sport. Lou’s world is turned upside down when the coach tells him that he and he alone has been offered a full rowing scholarship to Harvard. Paralyzed by fear, and the love for his brother, and unbeknownst to Eric, Lou convinces his coach to help him trick the admissions committee into thinking that they got the names wrong on their scouting report, allowing Eric the opportunity to make his dreams a reality. Unaware of the sacrifice Lou has made for him, Eric’s resentment towards his brother and his seemingly wasted life grows even stronger. As Eric falls deeper into the lure of his new surroundings, Lou struggles with his decision to stay behind. He begins to realize that he has been hiding in the comfort and the dreams of his twin brother, and as everyone around him is growing and moving forward, there is no solace in his inertia. Abandoned by his brother, Lou decides that he can show his family and town that he, too is capable of having goals and dreams by winning at the Canadian rowing championships even if it means he has to row against his own brother.
