Details: About the Artist Headstones are a Canadian alternative rock band that began in 1987 in Kingston and were active until 2003, subsequently reforming in 2011. They frequently sold out at small and mid-sized venues across Canada and were known for their high energy live shows, particularly the antics of lead singer Hugh Dillon, who interacted with his audience in a variety of ways including spitting on them and hurling lit cigarettes into mosh pits. Headstones were one of the most commercially successful Canadian rock bands of the 1990s. Their upcoming record, Love+Fury, picks up right from where the band left off in 2003. Like they’d been living in a time capsule, Dillon, Carr, White and Harrison let loose 11 feral tracks that follow their brief reunion tour a couple years back in 2011. Joining the band on writing credits this time around is producer Chris Osti and Osa Cambell. Staying true to their punk roots, The album starts with a ska beat, blends into road-worn style blues, throws in some radio friendly tracks, but most impressively some not so friendly ones to keep true to what made them Canadian legends in the beginning.
