Details: Amazon.ca Sure, the title is a bit over the top, but the sentiment is there. While not necessarily the best love songs ever, some of these songs are rather good, even if they are generally of the "disposable pop" category. As is often the way with compilations, the choices here focus on recent releases, and so the Corrs, Robbie Williams, Geri Halliwell and Ronan Keating are all represented. Still, it's nice that they managed to delve into the vaults for some truly heartbreaking tracks: Sinead O'Connor's version of "Nothing Compares 2 U", the Righteous Brothers' "Unchained Melody" and Percy Sledge's "When A Man Loves A Woman" are all classic love songs. For lovers of pop music, this is a fine collection of pop music about love. --Ted Kord
