Influenced by vintage Bowie, Roxy Music & Elton John & with the audacity to cover Pink Floyd, the Scissor Sisters are one of the most unique & exciting bands around. Their self-titled debut album is chock-full of cheesy-yet-awesome tunes that incorporate disco, soft rock & everything in between. The Floyd cover 'Comfortably Numb' evokes 'Saturday Night Fever' era Bee Gees whilst 'Mary' is a wonderful pastiche of Toto. Elsewhere the disco stomper 'Laura' is guaranteed to fill dance floors from student unions to wedding receptions & 'Filthy/Gorgeous' is the greatest single Fat Boy Slim never released. 11 tracks.
