But as their lives in the city take a turn for the worse, Mehmet decides to take a deeply moving journey across Turkey to the land of Berzan's dreams... the fabled Kurdistan. Beautifully shot by Jacek Petrycki (Krystof Kieslowski's former director of photography), Journey to the Sun takes the viewer on a gorgeous and moving journey through the famous Turkish landscape and shows the ugliness that lies underneath. A 'Must See' for anyone who has been to Turkey or is planning to go there. Yesim Ustaaglu has written for various art and cinema journals and holds a master's degree in architecture. Her feature film debut, "The Trace" (1994) was honoured as the Best Turkish Film at the Istanbul Film Festival, and played at numerous international festivals.
