A true cinematic experience, his film intertwines times and stories, using destabilizing flashbacks and flash-forwards, bathed in very harsh, often overexposed lighting. The three worlds collide, each carried by an exceptional actor: Naomi Watts in top form, the charismatic Benicio Del Toro and the always impeccable Sean Penn, winner of an interpretation award at Venice for this role. Violent, bitter and dark, 21 Grams is a film that is not easy to approach but which confirms the talent of a filmmaker and his screenwriter, Guillermo Arriaga. – Helen Faradji.
