Details: Product Description respectable Amazon.ca The Respectables searched for the recipe for success for nearly a decade, visiting the smallest corners of Quebec, Toronto and New York in vain. They finally found her with $=Bonheur, an album where, for the first time, the quartet decided to sing in French and mix their rock with pop and warm rhythms. The catchy "Amalgam" instantly seduced with its South American accents, as did the catchy "Holà décadence" or the reggae adventures of "L'Homme 7:00 up". The success was such that more than two-thirds of the songs ended up on the charts, including the bonus track "Cambre tes hips". However, $=Bonheur is not beyond reproach: the production is rudimentary, the mixing is questionable and several tracks lack the energy of the show. However, thanks to its great experience, the troupe manages to make people forget these weaknesses, in particular Sébastien Plante, who displays great ease in singing, and Pascal Dufour, efficient on guitars. Don't be intimidated by the awful cover: $=Bonheur is one of the good albums of Quebec pop rock. --Nicolas Houle
