Angèle, born the 8th in a musical family of 14 children from Prince Edward Island, is a pioneer of Francophone music. An avant-garde messenger and musician with irresistible melodies, she recorded her first album, Première, in 1974, followed by an album in English. In 1977, the singer-songwriter triumphed with Libre and won a Félix award for the best-selling Francophone album in Canada (300,000 copies). What an impressive career: over 500 compositions, thousands of shows, and various hosting roles on television and radio. Throughout her career of more than 35 years, Angèle has received numerous accolades and continues to share her message of hope with humor and authenticity. Finally, a compilation that brings together her songs that have become classics, including the extraordinary "Grand-Pré," which stands as a monument to her people and moves crowds both in Canada and in Europe.
