Details: Amazon.ca In December 2001, Stan, Guy, Fernand and the others were back for a third installment of the Adventures of the Boys, a comic series by Louis Saïa which was a hit on the big screens in Quebec. A moving soundtrack accompanies the adventures of these garage league hockey players. In addition to two songs by Éric Lapointe, who plays a role in the film, there are several hits by Quebec artists, a few unreleased songs and dialogue excerpts. Between Gabrielle Destroismaisons (“Et cetera”), Kevin Parent (“Same Kind”), La Chicane (“Calvaire”) and Les Respectables (“Money makes happiness”), we discover a new composition by Daniel Boucher, “ Like an eraser”, which reveals the very sensual side of the singer. But the real revelation of this album are the two surprisingly tender pieces by bluesman Jerry de Villiers, son, which we would like to hear more often. Despite the reluctance of some, The Boys III is the best soundtrack of the series, and it should delight fans of the film. -- Frederic Boudreault
