Details: Amazon.ca For this third volume of L’Album du peuple, François Pérusse has found the definitive formula for his comedy albums: an amalgam of segments and songs where parodies, original sketches, and returns of well-known characters coexist. This time, the comedian has fun staging surgeons who practice their trade with the help of educational cassettes, observing the blunders of a man hitting on women over the phone, and having La Sagouine, the famous character created by Antonine Maillet, sing a rap. He also revisits, with some success, his hilarious parodies of the radio industry (call-in shows, community radio, easy-listening rock radio), as well as his irascible character who buys everything over the phone, from towing services to snowmobiles. The album is very similar to its predecessor and offers few surprises, but there is no dull moment because the majority of the gags hit the mark. --Nicolas Houle
