Olivier Martineau enjoys scratching the surface of a society he doesn’t understand, offering a general critique of the grit in the gears. It is a fair judgment, however, since in the end, he hates everyone equally. He is quick to complicate everything, because he doesn’t like simple things. In the pure tradition of stand-up, he puts everything on trial—from romantic relationships and ghosts to flying saucers, children, fashion, and his grandmother. For the occasion, the tall, thin comic adopts the airs of a little general and highlights the absurdity of daily life. With him, no one is safe.
