Dédé Through the Mists - Blu-Ray
SKU: 40148871774392
Amidst the whiteness of the Quebec countryside, Dédé Fortin and his band, Les Colocs, retreated to compose what would become their most famous, yet final, album: Dehors Novembre. For nearly a year, Dédé wrote and composed his songs there, mostly alone, oscillating between moments of creativity and periods of deeper anguish. In doing so, the singer took stock of his life and revisited aspects of his past that would at times haunt him, and at others inspire him. Structured around this dual timeline, where the singer’s past and present intertwine, the film allows us to witness both the emergence of this significant figure in Quebec music and his slow descent into himself, which would ultimately lead to his suicide in May 2000.
