Details: Product description Cirque Du Soleil ~ O Amazon.ca The first aquatic creation from Cirque du Soleil, the show O, initially took up residence at the Bellagio theater in Las Vegas, from which this soundtrack was derived in 1998. Benoît Jutras, who is responsible for the musical production of other Cirque shows, including Quidam and La Nouba, created 13 original and highly emotional tracks that seem to translate the various movements of water. Thanks to a work strongly colored by world music, the composer manages to evoke now an ocean teeming with dangers, now droplets drumming on the ground; here, the majesty of the waves, there, a calm expanse of water that invites meditation. Men's and women's voices in various languages lend themselves to this celebration of life, joined by the unusual sounds of the Chinese violin, the African harp, and ancient woodwinds. Benoît Jutras, who received the Jutra award for best film score for Alegria, has us navigate with O on a global sea that spreads all the magic and universality of Cirque du Soleil. --Julie Sergent
