The 15 tracks provide excellent testimony to the singer's journey: they include hits like the essential "Quand on est en amour," "L'Hirondelle," and "Elle s'en va," as well as lesser-known but equally relevant tracks such as "Souvenir d'un vieillard" and the excellent "Guitare de Jérémie," written with the help of Michel Rivard. Oscillating between country, pop, and rock, Norman handles himself well with his impressive 10-piece band, including three backing vocalists. While the musicians can be felt sticking a little too closely to their sheet music here and there, the performance is, on the whole, impeccable. The atmosphere is warm and the energy of the moment is at times palpable, such that certain pieces reach unexpected heights.
