Details: After two ADISQ nominations in the album of the year - traditional category, the Bon Débarras trio, made up of Dominic Desrochers, Jean-François Dumas and Marie-Pierre Lecault, is back in force with its new opus, En panne of silence. Through a series of original pieces and new melodies, the group perpetuates the art of keeping tradition alive with music whose Quebec flavors are reinforced by the arrival of the violin, but which also evokes, through song and poetry, resolutely urban sounds or even the deep roots of the First Nations. Made “in the family”, En panne de silence was produced by Cédric Dind-Lavoie, a former member of the group, who also signs a few compositions. The participation of Luzio Altobelli on the accordion and a string quartet as guest musicians also brings a little touch of sweetness among a batch of pieces giving off a contagious energy that resolutely invites you to break down in silence.
