Details: From Babe to Dr. Dolittle , producers have long realized that talking animals know how to delight youngsters. The recipe is put to the test again in the second episode of the adventures of the charming little mouse Stuart Little ( Little Stuart ).
Stuart is now a full member of the Little family. But his big human brother abandons him and Stuart no longer has any friends. It is then that little Margalo appears, a solitary and reckless baby bird. This encounter will lead our little mouse on a frightening and incredible adventure thanks to which everyone will better understand the meaning of the word friendship.
After looking for a family in the first part, Stuart now devotes himself to friends. Again borrowing the voice of Michael J. Fox – while Melanie Griffith lends hers to the bird – the rodent continues to set an example for children. Loyalty and courage, in fact, are not the least of his qualities. And her family is still just as idyllic, thanks in particular to the dazzling colors and to Geena Davis who, in the role of the mother, composes a true angel of goodness. Filled with good feelings, Stuart Little 2 is a charming animated film, in the form of a fable of unfailing optimism. --Helen Faradji
