Second feature film written and directed by Louis Bélanger, it also makes its author one of the outstanding filmmakers of the Quebec cinematographic landscape. In 1989, the world throbbed under the effect of socio-political upheavals. Difficult then for Mr Brochu, alias the Boss, to continue to make his gas bar live in the same way, with his regulars and his daily routine. Especially since Parkinson's undermines him and his two eldest sons dream of photography and the blues. Without misery and inspired by his own life, Bélanger depicts the effects of emerging globalization and its demand for performance on small businesses, through the daily life of the Brochu family.
