Details: Christmas 1967, a time when everybody played hockey outdoors. The Aces are the parish's B Team and will be playing the Christmas Tournament only because they are hosting it. They may be short on talent, but they still believe they can win. Off the ice, they have all kinds of classic teen experiences, some fun and some not so fun. Either way, they'll take them on together. And it's together that they'll grow up, because that's the way they've decided to live their lives: together. // Once upon a time the Boys tells the story of Stan, Jean-Charles, Méo, Bob, Fern and Marcel, when they were between 13 and 15 years old, when the other Boys were not still born or too young. Christmas holidays 1967, when hockey was played on outdoor rinks. The Boys form the parish's second team and are guaranteed participation in the Holiday Tournament, because they are the hosts. Despite limited talent, they will still dream of victory. Off the ice, they will have to deal with all kinds of moments that one experiences at that age; funny and less funny. Together, they will face them. Together they will try to grow, because this is how they have chosen to live: together.
