The hauntingly vocal singer reinvents herself on her fourth album, delving into uncharted electro-pop territory and reaching new heights with the boldest and brightest songs of her career. The title is inspired by a Japanese concept, the ma, which refers to the sensory experience of the space between two things or the interval between two actions, a space perceived as a living link and not as a division. Finding this place of tranquility allowed him to create an album that is totally centered while being furiously adventurous. She wrote, performed and produced the album herself, in her place of creation and at La Planet and Hotel2tango studios in Montreal. Working in English as much as in French seemed natural to Ariane Moffatt for this album and we feel her at home in both languages. MA presents her bursting out, coming out of her shell broadening without hesitation the parameters of her artistic identity while clearly approaching her essence.
