First known as the feminine half of Tricot machine , Catherine Leduc today presents a “ Rookie ” with lush deployment whose fragile strength bewitches, a fountain in the ditch of the current folk movement. Unearthing her guitar, she takes the time it takes to tame her new impetus and fully assume her nature as a renewed songwriter. A few months later, the result is " Rookie ", a first album like a poetic diary, a beam of dream pop intermingling animals and sports analogies, a balsamic suite of magical folk.

A jack-of-all-trades artist, Catherine Leduc does things her own way and tries to fill in a space left empty by her companions. "It's like magical folk," she says when asked about the color of this solo album.
