Details: Amazon.ca Never short of inspiration, Yvon Deschamps put on an unpretentious show in the summer of 2000, intended for visitors to the Rouville-Campbell mansion. But the inexhaustible popularity of the humorist quickly caught up with him and brought him to various stages in Quebec. His always intelligent and caustic monologues have evolved considerably over the course of some 400 performances. This is one of the last versions of this show, recorded at the Corona Theater, which can be found on the double disc Comment ça, 2000… 2001… 2002?. If today he must warn his public that his words are those of a character and not his own, Deschamps is far from letting himself be muzzled by political correctness. His remarks on the end of the world, baby boomers, the elderly or relations between ethnic communities provoke as much laughter as reflection. Because the comedian always knows how to strike the right chords to deal with social concerns with a lightness that hides an astonishing depth. Composed mostly of new material, the album also contains nods to old Deschamps texts, such as "La Création", "Les Dangers" and "La Peur".
