Details: Product Description After launching an acoustic album (recorded during his 2004 tour), the Quebecois singer/songwriter returns with his new opus, proposing new 'oragnic' songs, home-made and and created in a more traditional way. Amazon.ca It begins with a beautiful ballad, spoken more than sung, which evokes in a few very simple sentences the memory of a “crime of a beautiful bicycle” that as a child, Michel Rivard rode in the streets of Montreal North. “Robinoude” could have announced the trip of a nostalgic fiftieth birthday. Nothing will happen. It's because he did well, Michel Rivard, to make himself confidence, because this is undoubtedly one of his most successful, most assumed albums. He goes further than ever in intimacy: love, paternity, childhood, memory, the fear of losing. His writing here has the elegant simplicity of poetry that hits the mark. Finely crafted, the melodies – superb piano, sensitive guitars, percussive percussion – are almost always soft. Yet they carry something a little more raw than what Rivard has accustomed us to in other albums. As if he had trusted himself more. This is a simple, beautiful, sincere record, to be listened to for a long time. --Pascale Millot
