Excavation & Poetry was born out of a meeting between two doctoral students in psychology who couldn't stop yelling any longer; something often prohibited in the collective unconscious of the university niche. The two musicians' primary mission was to use music and the associated artistic space to create an open dialogue about taboo political themes: toxic male culture, unhealthy power relations, medical obsession with human survival and for early diagnosis, human vulnerability and capitalism. And that gives literary folk/trad. Two years after its formation, two poet excavators joined the group to carry out this mission. All are now united by a common need: to denounce, to create and of course, to have a lot of fun. So far, things are going well.
