Details: Intriguing, Tricot machine's new album is a successive step in a process that began in 2007 with the release of a first eponymous album. Although imprinted with a certain maturity acquired along the way, the new songs do as they please and think outside the box. They transport you to the middle of a cheeky universe where a few notions of survival in the forest and a certain taste for freedom rub shoulders. True to form, Tricot machine serves us texts that are both simple and evocative, opposed to effective and abundant arrangements. They are once again surrounded by their precious collaborators, David Brunet and Daniel Beaumont. Always keen to innovate in terms of visual concepts, Tricot machine teamed up with graphic designer Atanas Mihaltchev to create the cover for The Next Step. Together, they developed a collection of paper figurines to be made step by step which will constitute the cover and by which will be represented each of the songs of the new disc. A pending little work of art that you shouldn't be without.
