For the occasion, Serge Fiori and his band called on a host of distinguished guests (Richard Séguin and Pierre Bertrand, among others) and a symphony orchestra conducted by Neil Chotem. The result: a memorable double album comprising, as its title suggests, seven songs totaling 85 minutes of music. Completely dusted off thanks to digital transfer, the parts of The Heptade have lost none of their flavor. We find there the complex rhythm of “Comme un fou”, the right voice of Monique Fauteux, in “Le Corridor”, and the now classic “Comme un sage”. The only downside: the poor sound quality of the interludes of the symphony orchestra. The Heptade nonetheless remains an essential part of Quebec song. -- Nicolas Houle Also find the version lived by L'Heptade, captured in Vancouver in 1977, on the double album simply titled Harmonium on tour.
