The barely 20-year-old Montreal singer stands out from other performers her age, delivering her contagious mix of r'n'b, soul and pop with astonishing aplomb. We are quickly charmed by this warm and powerful voice, which nevertheless knows how to be very soft in more touching pieces ("J'm'en envie", "T'es plus mon ami"). The young woman sings about painful loves with a conviction that changes us from the cutesy ballads that usually play on the radio. In addition to being a formidable performer, she wrote three of the lyrics on the disc, including "Bon Dieu", a pretty song about a breakup. His impressive team of writers and musicians – Jim Corcoran, Éric Lapointe, Roger Tabra and Sylvain Cossette on the lyrics, Éric Létourneau and Stéphane Dufour on the music – has also concocted songs for him that fit well with his fiery character.
