Details: The Hay Babies is an indie-folk-country music trio made up of three girls with colorful personalities. Big winners of the 2013 Francouvertes, recipients of several prizes at the Festival Vue sur la Relève and all from New Brunswick, Katrine, Vivianne and Julie intertwine their accents to create a flamboyant atmosphere and present their own indie-folk-country recipe. . One of their great strength is certainly the vocal harmonies, but the authentic stories they tell are also what makes this trio so charming. Directed by François Lafontaine (Karkwa) and recorded by Mathieu Parisien, "Mon Homesick Heart" is a first album with deep atmospheres and rich sound textures, courtesy of the visceral guitar playing of Joe Grass (Patrick Watson), vibrant "drums" by José Major (Marie-Pierre Arthur) and an exemplary mastery of the bass lines delivered by Mishka Stein (Patrick Watson).
