The singer makes a prodigious leap forward with this second album, with a more raw, less calculated energy. Petit stands out more clearly from its peers here thanks to its refreshing mix of pop, rock, reggae and ska. This disc was probably composed according to the scene, where the rocker feels visibly more at ease. Not to mention that Petit has surrounded himself with the cream of Quebec musicians, notably Dan Georgesco on guitar, Alain Quirion on drums and Maurice Williams on bass. A quality entertainment that this Little Girl: let's hope that it will allow Richard Petit to take the place which now belongs to him. --Frederic Boudreault
