Noticing how much internet users were sharing his humorous radio sketches, François Pérusse decided to… pirate himself! He rummaged through his old tapes and compiled a selection of sketches that hadn't made it onto previous albums for this Pirate Album. Released after a six-year hiatus, this new chapter of the "Albums du peuple" should satisfy the comedian's fans.

Even if one understands why certain sketches—either too long or less effective—had been left out, the vast majority of the material dusted off here is worth a listen. It’s a pleasure to reconnect more than once with the insolent "guy shopping," one can't help but roar at the blunders of the bungler, and it's impossible not to smile at Jean-Charles's excessive optimism. Added to these sketches, featuring absurd humor and abundant puns, are four songs of varying quality, including "La Grippe," recorded while Pérusse was, as it happens, sick with the flu.

The artist also provides a card with a personal code that will allow internet users to download funny recordings, notably the delirious "Hutchison-Fairmount" video, filmed in 1992 for the defunct show Taquinons la planète. This Pirate Album is, therefore, nothing less than a little gift for everyone who appreciates the comedian's work.
