Details: Amazon.ca To dive into the world of Rock et Belles Oreilles is to rediscover a frankly audacious adolescent spirit. In 1988, his second year on the small screen, RBO shocked by showing Jesus under his cross, having his face wiped and photocopied by a mourner. The clip was followed by the tagline: “Xerox, a Christ of a good machine.” The DVD: 1988 offers an appreciation of all the group's specialties, in particular its parodies of films (“Kenny”), of music videos (“Gros twit, gros pile” of the Gipsy Kings), of television series (“Snappe pis bourdonne”, pastiche of Lance and count) and pubs (“Contribution to the distributor”), passed to the chopper of their merry wickedness. True to themselves, comedians also indulge in crude, even scatological humour, but in the midst of “crastillon” gags and boogers, socio-political criticism finds its place. Thus, “The 4th Reich of John Parano” pushes to the extreme the fear of assimilation felt by Anglo-Montrealers. We must see these poor English speakers again, prisoners of a concentration camp, forced to swear in joual... Finally, this explosive cocktail contains its share of classics, including the succulent song "Why do drugs?", by the more-than-cheesy Ringo Rinfret. Let's add that the DVD edition includes more than 40 minutes of additional sketches, hidden clips, all the episodes of “Jack Travis” – an exercise in style in the form of a detective drama – and almost half an hour of interviews with the members. Everything to awaken the nostalgia of this real television party. And after having reconnected with these terrible children, a question persists: will their successors soon make themselves heard? --Julie Parent Product description 1 Sketches Of The Tones Including 2 The Story Of The Gadgets/Ringo Rinfret/Why Do Drugs/Big Bad Wolf/Harmonium/The Retro Medley/Ringo Rinfret/The Clown Is Sad
