It is no coincidence that audiences and critics have repeatedly described Sophie Day’s voice as remarkably clear. Whether she is embodying the character of Éponine (Les Misérables) or singing for Joni Mitchell herself (at an honorary doctorate ceremony), she approaches the songs entrusted to her with the same purity of emotion. A sought-after artist, Sophie has sung since her debut for hundreds of thousands of people across several continents in an impressive number of productions and has received numerous awards.

The two musical traditions from which she hails—chanson and jazz—make her a unique singer-musician, leading her audience to captivating musical moments, including her debut album Fleurs bleues (2009) and her most recent project, Clémence (2020), in which she revisits the repertoire of the great Quebec poet Clémence DesRochers alongside a contemporary and jazz chamber orchestra.
