BIOGRAPHY
Since September 2013, the members of Cy have been mixing harmonies and guitar strings to create music from astheure and yesteryear. Equipped with three guitars and four voices, this Nova Scotian group based in Moncton, manage to unite folk, progressive and traditional styles to create a sound that is both warm and harmonious. A child of the Acadian indie-folk new wave, Cy stands out for his refined harmonies and his contagious sense of humor that has charmed listeners from one end of Acadia to the other.
Here is the first homonymous mini-album, a collection of original compositions that continues to make ink flow in the French-speaking media of the Maritimes. The five tracks of the album are the product of musical research inspired by the melodies and traditional tales that are still heard in Baie Sainte-Marie in Nova Scotia.
