This young artist, originally from Baie Sainte-Marie in Nova Scotia, has just finished recording his second album. Only one year after the success of his first album, Marche, marche, marche , Jacques Surette returns to the charge with his guitar and his harmonica.

Jacques Surette is selected at the East Coast Music Awards, in the French recording of the year category, and at the Canadian Folk Music Awards, in the young artist of the year category. At the FrancoFête en Acadie, last November, he won two important prizes; the Radarts-Granby Prize and the Marc Chouinard Prize giving access to a showcase at the Festival voix de fête, in Switzerland, in 2021.

Like a great chansonnier, surrounded by his guitar, banjo and harmonicas, Jacques is a storyteller who charms his audience with his naturalness and simplicity. His music, with its folk-roots sound, blends perfectly with this unique accent that defines him. As permitted by his Acadian cultural identity, he writes songs in French and English, to express as faithfully as possible the feelings and experiences he shares with the public.
