The freshness of Malajube is like a drug whose cure is still unknown. However, its molecular equation hides no secrets: a lo-fi rock envelope, melodic keyboard arrangements and a pop attitude closed to compromise. Listening to the Complete Account , The Unicorns come to mind, but, a major difference, the Quebecers of Malajube sing in French; enough to make those detractors lie who consider the French-speaking scene lagging behind the planetary independent rock currents. Besides this favorable situation, the compositions of the combo hold up devilishly well. So much so that after listening to it (only 23 minutes of music), you can immediately listen to the album again on a loop without the songs suffering.
