In June 1992, he recorded in the theater of the casino of Val-André in Brittany his first album, Le bal des oiseaux . Released in 1993, this album gave him immediate recognition and earned Thomas Fersen a Victoire de la Musique award as Male Revelation in 1994. The album was certified gold in 2001. The piece Le bal des oiseaux is the one of this artist's best-known songs.
